Humanitarian photo documentary exhibition by Wayne Schoenfeld and screening of The Memory Box at Espace Hortense, Saint-Camille
Montreal, February 4th, 2010 - From February 11th to April 4th, Espace Hortense will present a collection of humanitarian works by photographer Wayne Schoenfeld. This exhibition is made of two series of humanitarian photo reports taken during three Exeko missions in Ethiopia and Nepal. The private view of the exhibition will be directly followed by a screening of the documentary “The Memory Box,” shot in Ethiopia and produced by Exeko, and by a discussion with the producer. Maïlis Burgaud joined the Exeko team
Montreal, February 4th, 2010 - Maïlis just arrived from France via the student international mobility help program of the OFQJ, and she will work for the next 6 months as an executive assistant and project agent. We welcome her and wish for a fulfilling experience.
The Trickster Effect and Driven by Initiatives! presented in a conference in Quebec City
Quebec City, January 20th, 2010 – As part of the Regional Meeting “Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement” organized by the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission, Exeko was invited to introduce its two new socio-educational programs: The Trickster Effect and Driven by Initiative!. These programs got a very pleasant welcome, which confirms the needs and the interest for such healing programs. More info here.
10 artists return from a mission with the anicinape community of Kitcisakik
Montreal, December 15th, 2009 – Exeko, with the collaboration of Maxime Lee Larose, just returned from a mission with the anicinape community of Kitcisakik, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, on December 12th and 13th. A team of nearly 10 artists joined this expedition: Maxime Lee Larose, Marie-Christine Simoneau, Cyril Assathiany, Chantal Simard, Rosalie Hudon, Philippe Thibaudeau, Elize Deguire, Jenny Ritchie and Kena Molina. "Entre 2 Arbres" at the "Maison de la culture Frontenac"
Montreal, December 8th, 2009 – Johanna Autin and her project "Entre 2 Arbres" have been selected to participate at the exhibition of the finalists of the Portfolio contest which will take place from December 8th, 2009 to January, 17th 2010 at the "Maison de la culture Frontenac". Exeko recipient of the YMCA Peace Medal 2009
Montreal, November 18th, 2009 - Exeko was awarded with the YMCA Peace Medal 2009. Last Friday, Exeko was chosen from 17 finalists as the winner in the category International - Group. More information here.
