Art, Culture and Society
|
Art Culture and Society is a teaching program focusing on personal development and is aimed at people who find themselves in troubled situations. Based on an analytical method that takes into account the skills and inclination of the learner, the program incorporates philosophy, critical thinking, sociology and art in a form that is accessible to anyone.
“Much more than a training program, Art, Culture and Society is a concrete and effective approach favoring a comprehensive view of both the individual and society. It is aimed at those individuals who have a low educational level (troubled youth, inmates and the native population). The goal of the ACS program is to provide, with the help of reflective tools, a means of acquiring knowledge and inter-personal skills, all the while facilitating an apprenticeship, by those who take part in the program, that will eventually lead to their social integration, their rehabilitation if need be, and, in a broader sense, their personal scholarly achievement.” Nadia Duguay, program founder and director.
This program is made possible by the organizations and persons who support Art, Culture and Society. Do not hesitate to consult the acknowledgement page. |
