Exeko is proud to announce his partnership with the “D’un oeil différent” exhibition. “D’un oeil différent” is a collective visual art event which will take place at the “Écomusée du fier monde” during the Quebec week of intellectual disability from March, 9th to 14th 2009. “D’un oeil différent” is the result of a partnership between Exeko and four organizations working in the field of intellectual disability and concerned about the integration of their artists.

The exhibition highlights various representatives of the arts community in Montreal and elsewhere, living with or without disabilities. The aim is to produce a humanistic event which fosters exchanges between artists and educates the community to the talents and potential of artists living with developmental disabilities.

The organizers of this event are Exeko, the Montreal Association for the Intellectually Handicapped, the Gabrielle-Major and Lisette-Dupras readaptation centers for intellectual defiency, and La Gang à Rambrou.

The CRDI Gabrielle-Major and CR Lisette-Dupras are institutions of the health and social services network in the Montreal area who are responsible for providing adjustment services, rehabilitation and social integration of people with an intellectual disability or pervasive developmental disorder.

The “Gang à Rambrou” is a theater troupe combining dance, music and visual arts and whose objective is to promote the social integration of persons with intellectual disabilities.

The Montreal Association for the Intellectually Handicapped is an nonprofit organization that provides services (training, family support, outdoor activities) for people with intellectual disabilities by promoting their full integration into society.
