Espace Exeko

Espace Exeko is a co-working space for freelancers, young social entrepreneurs and small organizations working in the socio-cultural field.
“A new space which breaks the isolation of the freelancers" Le Voir
“A creative and green space" Journal Métro
“A place which creates a synergy" Radio-Canada
“A workspace […] a place of socialization […] a reservoir of ideas" Les Affaires
The project was designed to offer quality surroundings, at low price, in a convivial atmosphere, for people who work in creative fields. It’s a collective response to the isolation that freelancers, who work at home, are experiencing as well as an alternative for small organizations that are usually confronted with high rents for office space in Montreal.
Espace Exeko is based on a co-working concept, where it is possible to share a common space with freelancers and organizations, thus allowing a creative, free flowing exchange of expertise, contacts and contracts. On a broader level, the idea is to take advantage of the prevailing synergy of pooling together common resources in an affordable setting. Co-working is an emerging trend taking root in Montreal, Barcelona, Paris and San Francisco.
Espace Exeko differs from other co-working spaces because it offers both workstations for freelancers and enclosed work quarters for small organizations. Our goal is to create an environment where it is possible to blend cultural and social activities to stimulate and nurture ground braking initiatives.
This spacious loft-type area is designed to provide a convivial atmosphere. This 2000 square feet space was once an industrial space. It is now completely renovated and offers a magnificent view ranging from the Olympic Stadium to the Mont-Royal. Many common resources are available to all users, including a conference room, small kitchen, small lounge, wall for exhibitions, computers and multimedia equipment. There are bathroom facilities on the floor, a cafeteria downstairs, elevators and service elevators, many loading docks, etc.
The space was converted, and now functions, according to the 3R and responsible management concepts: recycled construction materials were used; we give a new life to used furniture; we do recycling and composting, and drink fair trade coffee. We try our best to create a healthy environment for our working space.
Exeko’s headquarters are located in this space as well as many freelancers and small organizations from the socio-cultural network. Contact us for more information about available spaces.
