Montreal, March 4th, 2010 – The 5th edition of the art exhibition “D’un œil différent” will take place from March 10th to March 14th at the "Écomusée du fier monde". This exhibition is part of the "Semaine québécoise de la déficience intellectuelle" (Quebec Week of Intellectual Deficiency). This event aims at raising awareness among the general public, and is organized by the Montreal Association for the Intellectually Handicapped, the Gabrielle-Major and Lisette-Dupras readaptation centers for intellectual defiency, Exeko and La Gang à Rambrou. The exhibition will showcase artworks from about 120 artists from different art workshops, and most of them live with an intellectual defiency. Nine artists form Exeko will present their artworks: Wayne Schoenfeld, François Gourd, Marc-André Goulet, Stéphan Ballard, Olivier Lefebvre, Clément Loisel, Johanna Autin, Cyril Assathiany, and Christine Tremblay. Montreal, February 25th, 2010 – The Memory Box was selected amongst 1,300 movies for the competition of the 5th Montreal Human Rights Film Festival documentary Grand Prize and Public Prize. Montreal, February 25th, 2010 – The Great Circle Books and A & I editions have just released the book: Angelo Capozzi MD - An Everyday Hero, the first of a series of books about everyday heroes. This book written by Wayne Schoenfeld presents a collection of photos showing Dr. Capozzi during Rotaplast’s humanitarian missions. Through this book, Wayne Schoenfeld wanted to thank this remarkable man and outsized surgeon who introduced him into the world of humanitarianism personally. More info here.

Montreal, February 4th, 2010 - From February 11th to April 4th, Espace Hortense will present a collection of humanitarian works by photographer Wayne Schoenfeld. This exhibition is made of two series of humanitarian photo reports taken during three Exeko missions in Ethiopia and Nepal. The private view of the exhibition will be directly followed by a screening of the documentary “The Memory Box,” shot in Ethiopia and produced by Exeko, and by a discussion with the producer.
